Enhancing PRESS Interventions for English Learners

Presenter: Stacy Thompson, PRESS Literacy Specialist While MTSS/RtI frameworks show promise to identify and support students who struggle with reading, opportunity gaps persist between native English speakers and English learners. This webinar will focus on culturally and linguistically responsive strategies to partner with interventions in order to meet the needs of English learners, including: teach language structures, develop vocabulary, make it concrete, and build on funds of knowledge. Participants will learn how to apply these research-based strategies to improve intervention success with English learners.
